Franklin International’s Covinax 210 a Clear Advancement in Water-Based Pressure Sensitive Adhesives
Ultra-removable Covinax 210 offers a unique combination: the clarity of a solvent-based adhesive along with the high coating speed of a water-based formula.
Franklin Adhesives & Polymers, a division of Franklin International, has a clear solution for label manufacturers that seek the characteristics of a water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive with the high transparency typically offered only in a solvent-based formula: ultra-removable Covinax 210.
Unlike other water-based pressure sensitive adhesives, Covinax 210, an acrylic polymer-based formula, offers optical clarity and can be used on any application that requires a transparent adhesive. At the same time, it offers all the advantages of a water-based formula, including high coating speed.
Further, Covinax 210 adheres to – and easily lifts from – diverse surfaces. This ultra-removable adhesive performs well as a removable tape or label on most surfaces, including paper, glass, metal and plastics. It can be used for a wide range of packaging and products, from CD case labels to temporary appliance labels. Covinax 210 also is FDA compliant for use with most food and drug packaging, under the following regulations: 21 CFR 175.105, 21 CFR 176.170, 21 CFR 176.180, 16 CFR 1500.3(C)(2)(i) and 16 CFR 1500.3(C)(4).
In addition to its clarity, Covinax 210 stands out for its durability over the long term. It maintains constant, smooth peel adhesion with clean removability, even after extended aging.
